About Site

This site has a long and historic history. Well, maybe its because I'm listening to the Indiana Jones Theme and thats making me feel special. Anyways, sodaDome.com didn't start out as you expected. JavaScriptFreek.com was where it was first located at. The site project was first started in the end of May and beginning of June 2006, at the end of my school year. I registered the domain on June 18, 2006 and JavaScriptFreek.com was born. The site design was choosen in a rush since I wanted to show everyone what I had created, a website. I choose a pre-made template from Zymic and had it on for its time. Then after I choose the design I added the gallery and the needed pages so it was to look like a portfolio, except mine was composed of sodaplay models. After a bit of me leaving it in the dust, people went in my site and out, nothing new they saw 'cept my models. So I eventually came up with some contests which barley anyone submitted any models. But it was okay, as long as they viewed my site, that was good. I later learned that by going to styleshout.com.

After the site went down on June 18, 2007. I had my long break begin and came back to sodaplay around February 2008. Around the beggining of February 08, I started tossing the idea of reviving my gallery site, but with the addition of my Moovl models. Then the three-day process of the project which was February 13, 14, and 15 of 2008 the site has begun its new and better life. Then on March 1, 2008 I bought sodadome.com. At first I used a template from styleshout then on May 17, 2008 my computer crashed making me lose the site files. Then on May 18, 2008 the site went down making me lose its site files on there as well.

At the end of August and beginning of September version 2 of sodaDome was planned. I then slowly started on making the web template which, in a way, would be better by terms in looks, creavity, and overall quality. Around the end of September sodaDome version 2 was released. There was a countdown on the main page for a whole month so people could get a hint. sodaDome v2 was all made by me, in less than a month I re-did every single page on the site and adjusted approrpriatley.

Behind the Scenes

You see the site have problems and it gets fixed, or maybe new additions are added to the profile system, and you wonder... who is doing that? Well below is a list of people who help make the site run smoothly and error free.

Dan - Site Administrator (dan[at]sodadome[dot]com)

Dan is the head administrator of the site. He mainly focuses on the sodazoo gallery and usersystem as a practice for PHP/mySQL. While still in the learning process of PHP/mySQL he still asks for help with his troubles.

ToXiCaTiOn.D/Diablo - Coding Staff (diablo[at]sodadome[dot]com)

Diablo helps Dan with the site. He coded the News System and helps Dan with everyday problems of PHP/mySQL. Diablo makes sure the site is free of coding errors and fixes them (when he wants).
